Recently a grand wedding with much fanfare took place in the Balaji show Pavitra Rishta. Archana (Ankita) and Manav (Sushant) tied the knot in-front of many people, but to the absolute horror of the duo, the shaadi turned out to be real. As per the eye witness from the sets, “The mantras that the pundit was chanting, was for real. For that matter, the mangalsutra and the pheres were authentic! After knowing this, the duo (Ankita and Sushant) were shocked and horrified. They went to the Balaji production team and asked them to undo the marriage. Well now, whose version is more close to truth is not clear, as all three have their own say on the matter. But it would be quite interesting to see if Archana and Manav are termed married in real with their reel shaadi.

Bollywood’s hottest actresses Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor seem to have become friends again. But this time their bonding can surely be attributed to Katrina’s recent flattering comments about Bebo’s professionalism.

A few days back, Katrina had confessed that she’s ‘nowhere close to Kareena as a performer’. And of course, the compliment has gone down really well with Kareena, as she has now come out acknowledging Kat’s remarks about her.

Recently, at an event for a jewellery brand endorsement, Kareena said, “I am very grateful and thankful to Katrina for all the nice things she has said about me”. Bebo said she was in no way envious of Katrina and the host of endorsements in her kitty.

Well, Kareena-Katrina combo is definitely the ideal example of girl-bonding!

New Delhi, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt may be unable to contest elections but Thursday got a firm foothold in the world of politics when he became general secretary of the Samajwadi Party.”I am very happy that party leader Mulayam Singhji and other seniors chose me to become the party’s national general secretary,” Dutt told reporters at a press conference. “Mein dil se kam karoonga aur sach ke liye kam karoonga (I will work with my heart and for the truth).” Dutt had been given a ticket by the Samajwadi Party to contest the Lok Sabha election from Lucknow but could not do so after the Supreme Court Tuesday refused to suspend his conviction for owning illegal arms in the run-up to the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai. He lashed out at the Congress for ill-treating his father, the late actor and central minister Sunil Dutt. “My father was very unhappy when the Congress took in Sanjay Nirupam (the Shiv Sena leader in Mumbai who joined the Congress). They have now given Nirupam a ticket – the same guy who had made such derogatory remarks about Sunil Dutt sahib and the Congress when he was with the Shiv Sena. My father would have been hurt and saddened,” Dutt said. He said when he had stood by his sister Priya Dutt, a Congress parliamentarian, it was “as a brother, not a politician”. “At the time I was rooting for her as her brother not as a politician… times have changed.”

For weeks there has been a buzz about the newly-wed Amrita Arora sporting a bump. Well, she hasn’t been seen with an extra inch ever since she went the size ‘zero’ way for her bikini act in Kambakkht Ishq, so this lil’ belly-bump came as a surprise. And obviously no one wasted time in claiming that M’s (read: Mommy) the word for Ammu. The gal neither confirms nor denies it, so till the bump becomes big enough to speak for itself, we’ll let Ammu guard her secret.
